About

Hi, Nathan Drake here from the beautiful campus of Spring Arbor University. I’m currently working towards Bachelor’s Degrees in Speech Communication (major), Biblical Studies (minor), and Business Administration (minor). Through blood and sweat, no tears yet, I’m beginning to figure out this thing called life.
Early Life
I was born in Port Huron, Michigan, one place that connects the United States with the rest of the world (or at least to a country called Canada). Throughout my life, I’ve seen tons of maple syrup, Labatt 50, and dead moose pass between those wild Canadian frontiers to those purple mountains majesty. Grew up 5 minutes from two rivers and Lake Huron, so I’m experienced in chasing geese, lounging on the beach, and dipping into the chilly water for about 5 seconds. Love sailing and hanging out with people.
Eventually, I decided I should actually do something with my life. What better place to start than go to college, right? That and all the cool college jocks who wear Hollister brand clothing chose to go. So I decided to start off in a local community college (St. Clair County Community College, SC4). I did fairly well there, involving myself with classes, ministry, and work.
After the semester was over, I transferred all my credits to the delightful campus of Spring Arbor University. It’s here where I am presently…and enjoying it thoroughly.
Future
What do you hope to do after you graduate college? That’s a good question. Most of the time I just smile and nod.
Sometimes if people really want to know, I say, “I want to be a church planter.” What exactly is a church planter? It’s a team of people beginning an organization of a group of people revolving their lives around the person, work, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am a Christian (one who follows Christ).
In particular, I want to preach the gospel to those in America who have yet to accurately hear the story of Jesus through media. Any form of medium, to any type of audience, in any way possible, to reach as many people as possible with the message.
Message
And what is this message? It is this. God created the world. Humans have separated themselves from God and his presence by rebelling against him by committing crime against him in will, mind, word, and action. When we die, we will be apart from God. However, Jesus, God Himself, came into the world as a man, lived, worked, went to parties, ticked off the religious leaders, was killed by them, and then three days later was resurrected, proving himself to have authority over death.
Now, he invites all people to 1) ask for forgiveness of their crimes. To stop doing them and walk in the way he walked, obeying what he commands them to; 2) believe that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and 3) committing their entire lives to him, by first considering the cost of following him and choosing to say yes to everything he tells them.
